golden guardians have joined the likes of team liquid and clg in shaking up their roster for lcs go betting predictions week seven. the team announced via twitter that academy support player choi “huhi” jae-hyun will replace yuri “keith” jew in their main roster. according to the organization, a major reason for this change is communication issues with keith, which is integral for the team. keith also has other issues, though. at the beginning of the spring split, he struggled, especially in team fights and overall gameplay.
golden guardians’ spring split so far
before the lcs season started, a lot of people in the league community were certain that golden guardians would be the bottom-placed team. however, the team has had a decent start to the 2020 season with a 5-7 record after 12 games. with about seven teams holding a 5-7 and 6-6 record in the split, golden guardians still have a real chance at making playoffs.
looking at golden guardians’ gameplay throughout the split, they have the lowest kda when compared with other teams. also, they struggle in macro game situations and easily lose control even after securing objectives. the lack of cohesiveness in team fights continues to be an issue for the team. with huhi coming in, the team will look to communicate better and add the consistency that they lack.
for week seven, the organization also announced that keith will start as an academy player. there is no update on whether this situation is a permanent one. however, most organizations with this type of roster change constantly evaluate the situation with each game played.
happy to see huhi getting the opportunity to show what he’s capable of and excited to be working with keith, he’ll be starting for us tonight.
the growth from both players in their swaps have been great. looking forward to the games.

huhi has been in the north american scene for about six years, and that experience could help golden guardians in crucial split-second decisions on the rift. keith showed glimpses of the type of player he could become in the last weeks of lcs. however, he may still need time to adjust from the role swap he made late last year.
