Actors Kelly McGillis;
Devil-may-care navy pilot Pete Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is sent to Miramar Naval Air Station for advanced training. Here he vies with Tom Kasansky (Val Kilmer) for the coveted "Top Gun" award. When not so occupied, Mitchell carries on a romance with civilian consultant Charlotte Blackwood (Kelly McGillis). Shaken up by the death of a friend, Mitchell loses the Top Gun honor to Kasansky. I guess this is the much hyped movie that made Tom Cruise famous. I can’t see whats so endearing about this film. I mean it is a good movie but is it that good? I think this is a good movie for entertainment, not awards. I will admit though that Tom Cruise had a memorable performance.
This is about the training of pilots during the Cold War and how a hotshot attempts to be the number one.
I said before that Cruise did a heck of a job. Val Kilmer also was great as Cruise’s rival.
The soundtrack is awesome. I love the songs “Danger Zone” and “Take my Breath Away.” Overall, this is a good movie but nothing special. I rate this film 7/10.

Top Gun is truly a unique film that does everything right. Probably the best soundtrack ever, some of the best written and developed characters ever, unique and original cinematography, a rousing story and just a certain feeling that runs through the whole thing that transports you to the 80’s. Sure there’s no xenomorphs or replicants or crazy Chinese demon zombies, but there’s friendship and rivalry that shows us that the real world can be just as exciting and can be just as much of a danger zone.

In short we can say top gun is simple story, good direction, good cruse looks fresh in this movie and he acted very well. The good thing about this movie is flying scenes are directed very well,special effects were good.
I gave this movie 6 stars that means it was one time watch movie. Climax of the movie was nice. stunts scenes of this movie specially starting scene and climax scenes were really good.
Now some bad thing about this movies. This is movie is totally tom cruise fan’s movie. Actress meg Ryann was wasted in this movie. Some part of the movie (in the middle) you getting little bored.
But due to the good direction and acting movie was watchful.
